Request deletion of your StudentHub data

You don't have to delete your whole StudentHub account to remove data you no longer want us to have. This page explains what you can delete yourself in the app, and how to ask us to delete anything else, while keeping your account.

Delete data yourself, in the app

Self-service deletions take effect immediately.

Marketplace posts, room posts and roommate cards. These features are closed and what you posted there is no longer shown to anyone. To have it deleted now, while keeping your account, write to us as described below and say “closed features”.

Ask us to delete specific data

For anything you can't remove in the app, for example your chat messages, reports you filed, or any specific record we hold about you, email us from the address on your account and tell us what to delete:

Request data deletion by email

Email privacy@joinstudenthub.com with the subject “Delete some of my StudentHub data” and list the data you want removed. We may ask you to confirm ownership of the account. Requests are completed within 30 days.

What is deleted, and what may be kept

• Data you delete (or ask us to delete) is removed from our active systems; residual copies leave backups within 30 days.
• Content already delivered to other users (e.g. a chat message they received) may remain in their copy.
• We keep the minimum required by law or for fraud/abuse prevention (e.g. moderation and safety records), in anonymized or restricted form, only as long as necessary.
